Three Moves to Attaining A Sexy Back
by Louis Moore, M.S.
Want to have a high level of confidence wearing your favorite dress at the next cocktail party? Work on attaining a great back. People will definitely notice.
Take a look at some of today's celebrities and notice what they have in common, besides a pretty face. Beyonce, Jessica Beal and Jennifer Lopez are just a few that come to my mind. Some of this may be genetics, but I'm sure they have to work at it with an exercise plan.
Want to know what their personal trainers tell them to do to develop a sexy back?
It's simple. There are three main areas to the back that you need to focus on . . . upper, middle and lower. To attain a sexy back, you need to hit all three parts of the back with your strength training routine.
Here are three exercises which target each of the three parts of the back:
Back Extensions (lower back)
Starting Position: Adjust the machine so that the pads are against your lower abs. Cross your arms over your chest and bend at the waist, allowing your upper body to hang down. Movement: Exhale as you slowly pull your upper body back up to an upright position. Inhale as you slowly return your body back down to the starting position. Repeat as required.
Low Seated Row
Starting Position: Position yourself in the machine with your chest against the pad and your feet flat on the floor. Grip the handles with your palms turned in. Movement: Exhale as you pull the handles up, pointing your elbows back until the handles are to the sides of your chest. Inhale as you slowly return the handles back up to the starting position. Repeat as required.
Lat Pull-downs (upper back)
Starting Position: - Grasp the bar, palms turned away from you, with your hands wider than shoulders width. Assume a seated position with your arms straight. Movement: - Exhale as you pull the exercise bar down to the top of your chest. Pause briefly in the fully concentrated position and squeeze your shoulder blades together. Inhale as you slowly allow the bar to return to the starting position. Repeat as required.

Try the above exercises for developing your back. You will defintely notice a difference. Others will too!
