 Baked Spiced Chicken
 
 
Ginger, onion and garlic are blended in the coating for this easy baked chicken. Yogurt helps keep it moist.
 
2   fresh whole chicken, cut up  
1 cup    soft bread crumbs  
1/2 tsp    onion powder  
1/2 tsp    garlic powder  
1/4 tsp    cayenne pepper  
1/8 tsp    ground ginger  
1/3 cup    plain yogurt  
 
1 Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly spray a medium baking dish with vegetable cooking spray; set aside.
2 Rinse chicken pieces and pat dry.
3 In a shallow bowl, combine bread crumbs, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper and ginger. Dip chicken pieces in yogurt, then into crumb mixture. Place in prepared dish. Bake, uncovered, for 45 to 50 minutes or until chicken is tender.
